The first meeting of the SuperSight Club, was held on the 10th floor of the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, at 4pm, March 23, 2007.

Dr. Somchai welcomed about 20 pioneer members to our exclusive SuperSight Club - exclusive because, to be a member, you must have been convinced by Dr. Somchai to replace the ageing natural lenses in your eyes, with which you were born, with high tech artificial lenses; throwing away your glasses and contact lenses in the process.

Over the last four of five years, Dr Somchai has treated about 1,500 patients from all over the world and here's a breakdown of their Nationalities:

Of course, just a small percentage are lucky enough to be living permanently in Thailand, but Dr. Somchai's hope is that we can all keep in touch through this web site, our blog (http://supersightclub.blogger.com), our on line forum and, of course, the regular monthly meeting whenever you are in Pattaya.

Over juice, coffee, tea and snacks, served by the graceful ladies of Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, ex patients (now SuperSight Club members) met Dr. Somchai once again and swapped stories of their experiences - and this of course is the focus of the club: Patients helping Patients. Only those that have experienced the operation and the period of adjustment, can really appreciate what a new patient perhaps is experiencing.

The sharing of these first hand experiences, and the caring participation of Dr Somchai himself at future meetings, will surely help those newly going through the recuperation and adjustment.
